AWC History:
AWC, Inc., began operations as Alford, Woods, and Childs Engineering Company, Inc.,
in 1965, devoting the first couple of years primarily to establishing relationships
with customers and manufacturers and obtaining product lines.
Our company has expanded considerably since its beginning in 1965. We now have 24
locations with operations concentrated in 9 states (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana,
Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida) and sales coverage
throughout the Western US. AWC now employs over 335 people. Our Corporate Headquarters
is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. AWC represents a number of the leading manufacturers
of process equipment, automation, instrumentation, and specialties. Our broad-based
customer list includes many Fortune 500 companies.
