An Application Engineer at AWC is an individual who supports oursales team by working with customers to understand their applications anddiscuss how technology can be implemented for improvement. The successful candidate must be: innovative, passionate and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Understand andcommunicate how to implement technical solutions.

  • Work with our insideand outside sales team to explain the benefits of implementing technologysolutions. 

  • Teach concepts fromthe basics of electricity and motor control to complex SCADA databasemanagement and networking.

  • Provide technicalsupport for the following products/technologies: PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives,Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, WiFi, Radios, Motor Controls, ControlPanel Design, and Power Distribution.

  • Troubleshoot existingmachines and networks to get customers back up and running.

  • Develop Bills-Of-Material based on customer requirements.

  • Demonstrate hardwareand software.

  • Document best practices and share with colleagues.



Required Qualifications:

  • 2 or 4 Year TechnicalDegree (Engineering preferred)

  • 5 Years of hands ontechnical experience

  • Strong technicalaptitude.

  • Proficient in use ofMicrosoft Office Suite.

  • Self Confidence andthe ability to manage conflict.

  • Ability to manage ateam to meet multiple deadlines and approvals with strict attention to detail.

  • Positive attitude/strong team player.
