VMI and Turnaround Support Specialist - Baton Rouge , LA

As an Inside Account Manager, you will have direct and daily contact with our customers and develop relationships to grow our business. The IAM has direct and daily contact with our customers and is expected to grow relationships and accounts.  The position is fast paced and requires excellent communication, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask.
 

 

The Essentials

  • Manage and prioritize incoming requests from Customers and Suppliers to source and price instrumentation, electrical and analyzer parts.
  • Communicate in multiple environments (email, phone calls, customer portals, supplier and manufacturer portals, TEAMS, Zoom, Skype)
  • Specify and recommend products to customers based off customer process data.
  • Offer alternative solutions for customers based on customer’s technical product specifications
  • Support Inside Account Manager teammates as needed
  • Acknowledge & Process customer’s Request for Quotes (RFQ)
  • Acknowledge & Process customer’s Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Set up & Manage customer requirements (Quote & Order)
  • Proactive Expediting via Daily Report
  • Reactive Expediting as requested by customer
  • Acknowledge & Process Requests for Return or Repair
  • Input in Managing Customer Contract Pricing
  • Build & Maintain Customer & Supplier Relationships
  • Monitor & Manage Customer Order Management Systems – Portals, Ariba, SAP, GSAP, Other
  • Co-Management of Key Accounts with Pricing Management Team
    • Weekly Account Reviews with PMT
    • Work with PMT on proactive processes for Price increase notification to customers
    • Work with VMI-TA Manager around account activity and customer goals that might necessitate local inventory or VMI set up
  • Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed
  • Backup to Customer Inventory and Site Support Specialist which would include:

    • Managing on site inventory

    • Supply chain management of materials to include pick-up and delivery of stock to customers sites from various local suppliers and warehouses.

    • Packaging, loading, and unloading of materials in a safe and consistent way.

    • Management of customer stock levels at multiple sites ensuring that min-max levels are met, the correct material is delivered and stocked, the overall customer location of the material is clean and organized.

    • Set-up, reconciliation, and management of turnaround trailer inventory

    • Management of vending machine inventory

    • Responsible for maintenance of all bar code labels and tags.

    • Comply with all current and future customer entry site requirements, such as TWIC, DISA Screening, Covid Vaccination Protocol, PPE Requirements, Etc.

    • Attend all mandatory customer site trainings and safety classes to ensure site drive in status remains current.


Required Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2-year degree or 3-5 years industry experience

  • Be available and responsive immediately during working hours and when on-call
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel & Outlook) – Excel Intermediate level skills are REQUIRED
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 49 lbs. 
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Clean background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
  • Able to meet requirements for Covid-19 vaccination status and protocol as dictated by Company and Customers and Suppliers
