We are looking for a Distribution Center Associate to assist in unloading,receive/ship, and slot stock in a timely fashion. Our Distribution Center Associate is responsible for the overall organization of warehouse facility interms of shipping/receiving, inventory handling and delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handleunloading of all motor freight, UPS and other incoming shipments. 

  • Handleall aspects of stock put-ups and slotting locations.

  • Pack,weigh and process UPS shipments.

  • VerifyPurchase Order Notes/ Pull Material.

  • CreateBill of Ladings For Motor Freight Shipments.

  • Arrangefor pick-up of motor freight shipments / Load motor freight.

  • Coordinateand Document “Will Calls” with customers.

  • EmptyTrash Cans / General Housekeeping.

  • Putup stock before end of day.

  • Assignstock slotting locations.

  • CompleteCycle Counts.

  • Orderwarehouse supplies from Uline.

  • CalculateUPS Inbound Red / Blue charges for Warehouse Manager

  • AttendMandatory Quarterly Inventory Counts.

  • Possessthe qualifications to operate a forklift.

  • Possessthe qualifications to operate any AWC delivery vehicle, including running adelivery route.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experiencein the Industrial Automation & Controls or Process and Instrumentation industry

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Reliable,organized, detailed and focused

  • Abilityto multitask and manage time well

  • Abilityto move up to 100 lb. and lift up to 60 lb.

  • Abilityto stand for extended periods

  • HighSchool Diploma or GED

  • Validdriver's license

  • Beable to pass a back ground check and drug screening

  • Generalknowledge of computer functions

  • Abilityto operate a forklift & pallet jack

  • Sometechnical/mechanical skills or ability to learn

  • Abilityto work overtime and weekends
