Honeywell: How to access Tamper Alerts and Audit Trail on SmartLine Transmitters

This video, presented by Tom Brans and David Galvan of Honeywell Process Solutions, demonstrates how to access the Tamper Alert and Audit Trail features of a SmartLine transmitter via Field Device Manager (FDM).  The Tamper Alert feature allows an operator located at the Experion operator console to be alerted when a configuration change is made to a transmitter in the field, while the Audit Trail feature keeps a historical log of any configuration, diagnostic, or status changes that are made to devices in the field.  Due to the smart technology of the SmartLine product platform (including a built-in microprocessor, diagnostic capabilities, two-way communication, and multivariable capabilities) and ease of integration of SmartLine products into Experion PKS and application of the Field Device Manager (FDM) tool, the information provided by Tamper Alerts and Audit Trail is a critical component in investigating ongoing device issues or data acquisition.
