Honeywell: How to access the Maintenance Mode of a SmartLine Transmitter

This video, presented by Tom Brans and David Galvan of Honeywell Process Solutions, demonstrates how to access the Maintenance Mode of a SmartLine transmitter via the Experion PKS console.  This will put the loop in manual mode and send a message to the local transmitter display indicating that the device is ready for maintenance, thus allowing for a technician to connect a handheld communicator and perform any maintenance or repair duties.  Due to the smart technology of the SmartLine product platform (including a built-in microprocessor, diagnostic capabilities, two-way communication, and multivariable capabilities) and ease of integration of SmartLine products into Experion PKS, changing the process value source from automatic to manual mode takes several seconds and eliminates the potential for any human error.
