When adding objects such as graphics, buttons, text fields, etc. to a screen during HMI development in previous versions of TIA Portal, it is important to know that TIA Portal will not draw an object in runtime that was even one pixel off the screen in the HMI screen editor. This means that if any object slightly overlaps the border of the HMI screen within the development environment, it will not show up in the runtime environment (when the screens in the project are simulated or downloaded to a physical HMI).
A quick resolution to this issue can be found via the Layout task card, which is accessible via the right hand tabs when the HMI screen editor is open within TIA Portal. The Layout task card features different layers of objects on an HMI screen; if any object on a particular layer is touching the border of the screen, clicking the icon with the black arrow to the right of the object will move the object back to within the screen area.
